How to Make a Natural Vapor Bath

An aromatherapy vapor bath made with fresh medicinal herbs and essential oils can soothe aches and pains, relieve cold symptoms and bronchitis or simply help you relax after a long hard day. There are many bath salts and oils available for aromatherapy baths, but there is nothing quite as satisfying as a vapor bath made at home from fresh herbs and oils.

Things You'll Need:

Old nylon stocking

1/2 cup of eucalyptus leaves

1/2 cup of fresh chamomile

1/2 cup oatmeal

15 drops rosemary essential oil

1/2 cup of sea salt

1/4 cup natural honey

1

Fill the foot of an old nylon stocking with 1/2 cup of eucalyptus leaves, 1/2 cup of fresh chamomile and 1/2 cup of oatmeal. Tie a knot in the nylon and gently crush the leaves.

2

Draw a hot bath, as hot as you can handle, and drop the herb filled stocking into the water. As the water is running, add 15 drops of
rosemary
essential oils, 1/2 cup of sea salt and 1/4 cup of honey under the tap.

3

Enjoy the soothing aromatherapy soak for as long as you like. This combination of natural herbs and oils will help you breath easy and relax while softening and gently cleansing your skin. The sea salts and eucalyptus will help stimulate blood circulation, so when you leave your bath you will feel refreshed and rejuvenated.
